This Privacy Policy explains how the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, through its Centre for Creative Learning (CCL) ("IITGN", "We", "Us"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information You provide on https://jnv.ccl.iitgandhinagar.ac.in ("Website"), in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Cookie Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1. Account information: name, date of birth, gender, email address, phone number, and WhatsApp number, provided at signup or via your Profile.
2. Address information: billing and shipping addresses, including landmark, city, district, state, and PIN code; and, where applicable, GST registration number and business name for GST-compliant invoicing.
3. Order and payment information: your order and cart history, and, since payment is made by bank transfer, the payment reference details You provide (e.g. UTR/cheque/DD number) and the proof-of-payment file (screenshot or receipt) You upload for our team to verify. We do not collect or store card numbers, CVVs, or net-banking credentials at any point.
4. Support information: any details You provide when raising a support ticket or contacting us.
5. Technical and security information: your IP address and a record of account-related actions are logged for security and audit purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

1. create and manage your Account and authenticate your login;
2. process, fulfil, and communicate with You about your Orders, including generating quotations, GST-compliant invoices, and delivery updates;
3. verify payments and, where applicable, manage wallet credits and refunds;
4. respond to support requests raised through the Website;
5. maintain the security, integrity, and auditability of the Website and detect or prevent fraud or misuse; and
6. comply with applicable tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.

3. Disclosure of Information

1. Your information is accessible only to authorised CCL/IITGN staff who need it to process your Order or provide support, and is not shared with any external organisation for marketing purposes.
2. We may disclose information where required to do so by law, regulation, or a valid order of a court or government authority.
3. Payments are made directly by bank transfer to IITGN's account; We do not use or share your data with any third-party payment processor beyond what is necessary to verify the transfer You have made.

4. Data Storage and Security

1. Passwords and security PINs are stored using one-way cryptographic hashing and are never visible, even to our own staff.
2. Uploaded payment proofs and generated invoices are served only via secure, signed links and are not publicly browsable.
3. Uploaded files are screened for suspicious content before being made available to staff for review.
4. While We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is entirely secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your Account and Order information for as long as your Account remains active, and thereafter for as long as necessary to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations (including GST invoicing requirements) or to resolve disputes. Name-change history is retained as an append-only record so that past invoices remain accurate to the name in effect at the time of the transaction.

6. Your Rights

You may access and update most of your Account and address information directly from your Profile page at any time. For any other request relating to your personal information, including access, correction, or deletion, please contact us using the details in Clause 9 below. Please note that some information (for example, finalised invoices and statutory records) may need to be retained even after such a request, where required for legal or accounting compliance.

7. Children's Privacy

This Website is intended for use by school staff, parents/guardians, and other adults placing Orders on behalf of educational institutions, and is not directed at unaccompanied use by children. Where a minor uses the Website, it is deemed to be with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian, or authorised school representative, consistent with our Terms and Conditions.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date, and continued use of the Website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
